Best Laid Plans....

We rented this:

It's an old (built in 1907) Guard Station on Skyline Drive.  We were planning a nice camping trip for the holiday weekend (it's Pioneer Day, our statehood day.)

Ryan has been REALLY out of it the last two days... we thought he was just teething, until he woke up this morning with a fever.

So I sent Mark and Evan down to Sanpete, and if Ryan is feeling better tomorrow, we will go join them.   Hopefully a nice quite day of rest will get Ryan back to his normal self because I REALLY want a s'more!

Back to School Sales??

I saw a commercial today for back to school sales....

WHAT???  Is it that time already???

What happened to this summer??

We also found CHRISTMAS ornaments sneaking out into the store aisles on Friday.

Work has been so crazy busy lately... I feel like the world is spinning so much faster than it did before Ryan was born.

But, alas, I can't stop it.

Speaking of things I can't stop... Evan is getting SOOOOO BIG!!  What in the WORLD??  He got his hair cut on Friday, and he just looks so grown up.

Ryan is starting to talk more and more.  My favorite is "nuggle, uggle."  which he says as he lays his head on to whatever part of your body he can reach and then burrows in.  (Snuggle, Snuggle.)  He's going to eat us out of house and home.  I told Mark today, as Ryan is outpacing Evan as he eats, we need to start a savings account for our future grocery bills!

It's funny how different those two boys are... Evan was always very mellow... active, and never stopped moving, but mellow... Evan has always been a thinker and an explorer.

Ryan is just as active as Evan was, but SO DEMANDING!!!  And he is such a little bruiser!  Full tilt until he crashes!  It will be interesting to watch him grow into such a huge personality!

Here are the most recent war wounds.
