Sorry... There is a reason I've been absent...

The reason: I'm tired. And I'm sick.

And that may not seem like much of a reason... but the REASON I'm tired... and I'm sick... is...

Are you sitting down???

Really, I think if you know me, and don't already know what I'm about to say, you should pull up a chair, and maybe put down anything you have to drink so it doesn't spill....

I'm... Well... A picture is worth a thousand words I suppose....
Seriously...
If you spill grape juice on white carpet, it's NOT my fault.
You are soley responsible for snorting soda through your nose...
Or falling from your full standing height and banging your chin on your computer desk.

The due date is around the 7th of April. And yes, we did it on purpose. I claim temporary insanity.

Our First Friday Adventure

Evan, Antonio, Gio and Little Cecila

Well, we spent that extra day well! Evan was so excited to start our adventure, he wasn't about to let me sleep in! (Well, seeing as how we get up at 5 during the week, 6:30 is technically sleeping in I guess, lol!)

We got up, cleaned the kitchen, did a few loads of laundry, packed a backpack with snacks, and head for our friends house.

Gio is one of Evan's good friends, and it just so happens that his Grandmother, Cecila is one of mine!

We drove downtown, and parked at my work, and took the train to the Gateway. The kids LOVED the train. I told them to listen closely to the annoucements so they could hear when we needed to get off. As we pulled out of the stop right before ours, the annoucement said "Next stop: Planetarium" All four kids popped up out of their seats on que. It was adorable.

Evan's favorite was of course he moon and mars scapes, of course. And he again aced the advanced quiz, getting only one question wrong.

We decided to stop at the Church History Museum on the way back. There is a whole area upstairs that is for kids, which includes a "Nursery" where they have dolls that the kids can dress and weigh and fill out birth certficates for...

Evan might need a little more practice....

As requested....

My new car:

We decided to buy the Nissan. It's a Versa, and it's cute, nothing fancy (I just wanted something small and reliable to get me to and from work. I have a 50 mile round trip commute.)
It's my very first brand new car. The smell is not all that it's cracked up to be... it's actually rather nauseating! lol

My 15 Mins...

What a crazy week!

The state started the "Working 4 Utah" program this week. It's a pilot program testing out the possibility of the state moving to a 4 day work week.

Our first week is behind us, and yeah, I'm tired, but I'm ecstatic to have tomorrow off. Evan and I have a whole day of fun planned, and then Sat and Sun, we'll head for the hills to have some more fun with Mark.

Somehow, I was nominated to do some interviews with the press. I was flattered, but a little nervous....My 15 mins included our local news stations and local papers, as well as, GULP... CNN and Fox and a phone interview with NPR.

I did get to meet the Governor, Jon Huntsman (the NPR guy called him Jim, whoops!).

Hopefully next week will be less exciting!
